    • Allen will contact Mike Schuder about helping with the Internet scavenger hunt for students.

  3. Arson Investigation meeting: Lisa Hemple
    • Lisa will send out flyer to all technician contacts in this area.
    • Due to the length of the presentation, we decided to bring snacks instead of meeting after at J.D.'s Fieldhouse. Pam, Cathy and Judy will provide snacks.
    • If people want to network afterwards, we will go to Cabbage Heads.
    • Lisa will make up SCJ goody bags as a thank you to the firehouse. Cathy needs names to thank the fire fighters.
    • Lisa will present an appeal for members during break. Allen may not be able to attend due to conflicts.
    • Lisa will include directions to the Firehouse with flyers.

  4. Education Committee: Lisa Hemple
Suggestions for future educational programs were:
    • Presenting Data and Information by Edward Tufte
      • Allen will approach TDN to see if they would co-sponsor
      • Judy will contact those who have had course for their opinion
    • Managing Organizational Change
    • Chemistry of Phanato (Preparing the body after death)
    • Curt Suppe: How to Explain Science Information to the Public.
      • John E. suggested getting the list of ACS speakers at a reduced cost.

  5. Career Fair: Al Pinchard and John Engelman
Still on track and no new updates from the TDN steering committtee.

  6. Membership: Al Pinchard
    • A technician from PPG is interested in WiSE TAG and the Arson Investigation meeting.
    • Cathy passed out the draft membership packet developed by the committee. Allen will draft a welcome letter from the membership chairman for the second page of packet.
    • Suggestions were made to add more fun things to the packet to perk interest.
    • Discussion followed about giving a presentation to PPG technicians.

    • All chairs should begin updating their SOPs to reflect the duties of their position.

  9. Amalgamator-Connect Tech:
WiSE TAG news will be printed on white paper in the Amalgamator. It will be easier to format the newsletter and won't be so confining.
