1. Review of Bylaws:
   Bylaw revisions were handed out at the previous meeting for each board member to review and determine if additional revisions were necessary. All board members agreed that no additional revisions were necessary at this time.
   
   
2. Amalgamator & ConnecTECH Newsletters
   The Amalgamator is the newsletter of the Milwaukee Local Section of the ACS and ConnecTECH is the newsletter for the TECH Division of the ACS. Articles were submitted to both newsletters announcing the formation of the WiSE TAG. Alan Thompson , the Amalgamator editor and webmaster is working with the group to design a section specifically for the TAG. With input from the WiSE TAG he has designed a logo and newsletter header. Final decision for logo, header and color scheme, to be made and decision submitted to Alan by 06/27/03.

3. National Chemistry Week
   Cathy contacted Mike Schuder, Local Section NCW organizer to discuss WiSE TAG involvement in the event. Mike has agreed to attend the next board meeting for further discussion with the group.
   
   
4. Committee Updates

   ACS Advisor - John Engelman
   John sent the TECH Division "Call for Nominations - Technician of the Year Award" letter to technicians and managers at S.C. Johnson. A copy was also sent to Alan Thompson to place in Amalgamator. Letters of nomination must be received by Susan Ross, QA Labs, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP, 587 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19711, no later than September 30, 2003.
   
   

   Education Committee - Lisa Hempel
   Lisa contacted an arson investigator at the Caledonia Fire Department. They are willing to give a tour of department and talk about arson investigation. This event will occur in September. Final date to be determined. A social gathering will take place after the presentation. Technicians from Southeast Wisconsin will be invited. This event will educate technicians about the chemistry involved in arson investigation and will also give technicians an opportunity to network.
   
   A discussion about WiSE TAG holding a college fair was tabled until next meeting. Lisa will continue to investigate educational opportunities that Technicians from Southeast Wisconsin may be interested in.
   
   

   Membership Committee - Allen Pinchard
   Membership was a key area of discussion. Allen is investigating ways to best contact technicians at companies in Southeast Wisconsin. Allen and Cathy Hinkfuss have also set up a meeting to draft a letter to technicians in the area and will distribute through companies HR departments. It is hoped that the September issue of the Amalgamator and the Arson Investigation presentation will also generate interest.
   
   

   Public Relations - Open
   The Public Relations Chair is still an open position.
   
   

   Secretary/Treasurer - Judy Huffman
   Judy Huffman has agreed to serve as Secretary and Treasurer for the interim. She has prior experience in serving as a Treasurer. Judy will begin setting up the books. Membership dues will be collected at the September meeting and will allow an individual WiSE TAG membership through the December, 2004.
