1. Committee Reports:
   1. Program Committee (L. Hempel):
      1. Members Milwaukee River Cruise on the Edelweiss, set for this upcoming Friday, July 16th, has reserved 15 spots. Currently 11 have signed up.
      2. Design Of Experiments Class is being worked on. No firm dates have been set yet. Looking to have Gene Placskowski teach the class. However, a back-up instructor is recommended in case Gene can't.
      3. Forensic Mystery Scenario - No report. Katie is currently leading the work on this. Ginny Hempel will also be assigned to help Katie with this.
      
      
   2. Awards Dinner (M. Neumann):
      No report at this time - currently waiting for further info.
      
      
   3. ACS Regional Meeting Update:
      1. Nothing to report at this time.
      2. Any more ideas for Special Events? Send ideas to Cathy Hinkfuss at CAHinkfu@scj.com.
      
      
   4. Treasury Report:
      John is waiting for checks to be received from the Milwaukee Local Section for reimbursement for past events. He has not been able to make contact with their treasurer as of this meeting date.
   
   
2. Old Business:
   1. Strategic Planning:
      All blank areas of the Strategic Plan need to be filled in yet. Send to Cathy or Pam ASAP.
      
      
   2. Nominations for Chair-Elect:
      1. Nominations are in - candidates include Lisa Hempel and Mike Neumann. Voting process is currently ongoing.
      2. SOP to be updated. Suggestions include:
         1. If there is more than one candidate, have each candidate write up a short biography.
         2. All members are to vote by a given date.
         3. After the given date, the winner is decided by majority vote.
   
   
3. New Business:
   1. The 228th National Meeting is coming up on August 22 - 26th.
      Reservations for housing and flights should be done soon. Register for the meeting now, before July 27th for the early discount.
      On Tuesday of the National Meeting, there will be a Presidential Event with ACS President Bill Carol. Anyone attending the meeting is encouraged to attend this special day of events.
      
      
   2. There are two choices for the holiday community outreach project:
      1. Adopt a Family
      2. Christmas is for Kids

      It was suggested to choose one of these to work on. A vote will take place during the September meeting after information has been collected on each one. P. Chvilicek will gather info.
