This facility consists of two Bruker NMR spectrometers:
DPX300: The main workhorse for routine 1D and 2D experiments. Experiments can be run in a semi automated setup with computer controlled acquisition, processing and plotting. However, manual experiment set up and processing is possible and encouraged. Currently, besides standard 1D proton and carbon NMR a variety of homo and heteronuclear gradient supported 2D experiments (COSY, HSQC, HMBC) can be performed on a routine basis.
DRX500:This instrument is used for more involved two dimensional experiments, low temperature work and solid state NMR. The major applications are currently NMR of biological samples (Metallothionine, Bleomicin - DNA complexes), Fe-carbene catalysts and the study of zeolites.
In addition, several Unix workstations are available for offline data processing.
