Chen, Cook, and Moran Receive Catalyst Grants

This past spring, the UWM Research Foundation reviewed proposals for investigators to obtain a portion of $500,000 in Catalyst Grants with the support of the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation. These awards are made to seed promising research in the sciences and engineering where UWM has the greatest potential to impact local economy through commercialization activities. Awards of $50,000 to $150,000 were made through an accelerated process in conjunction with the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation. One June 1st, the research foundation announced that Dr. Chen, Dr. Cook, and Dr. Moran were all awarded grants for the following projects:

"Advanced Nanomaterials for Biomedical Applications"



James Cook

"Synthesis of Novel Compounds to Treat Alcohol Addiction"



Graham Moran

"Novel Treatment for Fungal Infections"
