Milwaukee Section - American Chemical Society the amalgamator |
Project SEED is a program that places economically disadvantaged high school students in academic, industrial, and or research laboratories for eight weeks during the summer to learn what it's like to be part of a research team. Each student is required to work on a chemical research project under the direct supervision of a mentor. The student receives an educational award which is donated by local companies and then matched by the ACS. Students are selected based on of their interest in science, grade point average, school activities and letters of recommendation from their science teachers as well as being from a economically disadvantaged family.
