2009 Candidates for Office

The 2010 elections will take place at the May 29, 2009, dinner meeting. You may bring your ballots to this meeting if you wish or mail them in as instructed. In 2010, there are positions open for chair-elect and secretary.

Robert Todd

Robert Todd received his elementary and secondary education in Oklahoma and Texas. In 1992, he entered the University of Texas at Austin. During this time of study he participated in studies at Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in molecular virology. After meeting his wife, he moved to Wisconsin, where he obtained a B.S. in Chemistry at UW-Oshkosh and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from UW-Milwaukee. He joined Aldrich Chemical?s air-sensitive division in Sheboygan Falls in 1997 as a chemist and was subsequently promoted to a New Product Development Scientist in the summer of 2003. Currently, he is specializing in the synthesis of organoboron and organometallic reagents through industrial-academic collaborations with various universities around the world.


SECRETARY for 2010

F. Holger Foersterling

Holger Foersterling is an NMR specialist in the Department of Chemistry at UW-Milwaukee. He received his Diplom in Chemistry at the Philipps Universitaet Marburg, Germany in 1991. Subsequently he studied Organometallic Chemistry in the group of Dr. Craig Barnes at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN, where he graduated with a PhD in chemistry in 1996. He was then working on biomolecular NMR as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Christian Griesinger at the Goethe Universitaet Frankfurt, Germany before moving to Milwaukee in 1998. He is a member of the American Chemical Society since 1992. He served four terms as local section secretary from 2004 2007 and is currently maintaining the sections web page.
