 New Kid on the Block?
Milwaukee Section YCC is born!
The ACS Milwaukee Local Section is pleased to
announce the newly established local
section Younger Chemist Committee
(YCC). The YCC is committed to
facilitating those initiating their
careers in chemistry by leading
an array of activities that support
professional development and
networking. Our first major event,
held at the University of Wisconsin-
Milwaukee Union Ballroom on September 25th, 2009, will be a catered social
with a research poster symposium. Details for the submission of abstracts will
follow.
The local section Younger Chemist Committee (YCC) is seeking
volunteers to chair subcommittees for the September 2009 YCC Symposium/
Social event. Below are titles for the proposed subcommittees for this event.
Much of the initial contact work has been accomplished, so some of these
roles should not be considered demanding. The committee is interested in
having active members from many facets of the chemical sciences. If you
know any students interested in helping us make this event a success, please
